The project
He wanted a contemporary house in Miami Beach: private, open to the water and built around the way he actually lives in it. What he had were references and ideas, not a set of drawings.
We started with how he moves through a house: the entrance, where inside and outside meet, what you see from each room. That is what we turned into a direction the design team could work from.
From there we coordinated the architecture and engineering teams, so every technical decision kept answering the brief he walked in with.
